County Saddlery

County Saddlery, Inc. is based in Woodbine, Maryland with their saddle-making factory in England. Resisting the trend toward cheaper production methods using foam rubber panels and plastic trees, County Saddles continue to be handmade on laminate beechwood trees, covered in the world's finest leather, and pure wool to maximize your horse's comfort and fit.

Our traditional methods take longer and require a higher degree of craftsmanship, but once you sit in a County, we know you will agree that the results are clearly worth it. Although we custom make saddles for many of the world's leading riders, our commitment to quality and detail is reflected in every saddle we make, including the one we will make for you.

With several different size models in a variety of tree widths, seat sizes, and rider options you can rest assured that we will find a saddle to fit both the horse's and rider's needs.

After the initial fitting, subtle adjustments may be needed to improve the fit of the new saddle for the horse and rider. These adjustments can only be made after the saddle has been ridden in, allowing the wool to compress. I will provide the first adjustment to your new County Saddle at no charge. Subsequent adjustments are not included in the purchase of the saddle.
